One night, while randomly wandering around on Pinterest with Alona (my eldest), we came across a surprising TikTok video that made us burst into laughter.

With painful cheeks, we hurriedly searched for the desired product shown in the video.

Alona found all the necessary information for our detective work, and before long, we discovered what we were looking for - an exciting game that transforms you into a chameleon for a while.

The package arrived on my birthday, and we eagerly opened it.

Inside the box, were all the necessary items to assemble 4 chameleon masks, plus a few boards of target cards with different insect images pictured on them.

Each player's objective is to collect as many target cards of their assigned color as possible.

The only tool players have for this battle is the chameleon's tongue.

The cards are two-sided, so merely striking the card is not enough; it also needs to fall with the assigned color facing up; otherwise, the card goes to the other player.

This whole experience turns out to be quite hilarious for all participants - players and viewers alike.

This game is a great example of how creating a good story, even in toys, makes all the difference.

Another element that boosts the game's experience is the twist that comes from using the familiar curled paper whistles, well-known from birthday parties, in a surprising new way.

Here's another team that has taken on the task:

Directing the tongue to the right angle is not an easy task.

Stepping up

After playing according to the written rules for a while, moments like these began to appear:

With these moments, ideas of what else this tongue can catch started to emerge, and later, what else can be done with this tongue?

It turns out there are quite a few possibilities.

Here are some of the findings:

Tongue ball

One of the best - really!!!

All you need is a table and a pom-pom.

The goal of the game is to blow the pom-pom away from the opponent's table.

Bonding Tongues

A crazy collaboration for transferring straws from one cup to another.

This can also be played with more than two players.

I should point out that this was about our 3000th attempt and the first one where we succeeded from beginning to end. (Tremendous feeling of satisfaction!))

A few more details

1. I recommend getting an extra rubber band that you can adjust to fit your head.

The ones we received in the kit were too short to wear comfortably.

2. For those who are concerned about hygiene, the tongues are made of plastic materials, so they can be cleaned gently when passing them between different participants.

Having said that, note that spitting and saliva are an integral part of the game and cannot be completely avoided :)

3. Although the ergonomic design of the mask is not optimal and doesn't fit well on the nose, it truly is one of the funniest games.

Oh Tegosh! How can I get this?

As mentioned, we first encountered the concept on TikTok, and we conducted all the searches based on the clues we had in English.

We finally found and ordered the game via Amazon.

It goes by various names such as Tic Tac Tongue or Keen Tongue

Attached is the receipt from Amazon, including the shipping price. (Please note that the prices mentioned are accurate for 2021.)

A few months later, I stumbled upon the game by chance, casually sitting on a shelf in a store here in Israel.

In Hebrew, it is called "Lik Lok Lek."
